From the first post to most recent, every 140-character blurb was excerpted from actual posts by Mackey. I’ve read other pieces by the public Mackey and will reserve my judgement on him as a result. He may be a very bright, intellectually playful talent with poor judgement on the digital frontier. And, he may become anti-hero poster-boy for the media circus that feeds on fables like this. It’s also an object-lesson in the accountability and transparency of character, meaning and values to which the blogosphere and its offspring will hold companies, public figures, executives and brands.
You never know through which window will shine wisdom. Mackey’s may be through the path to personal and company brand redemption. Stay slow, real and whole.
